Primary purpose: Under the supervision of the H-HEAP Director, provide intake and referral for the agency's clientele.
$18.39/hr. Temporary from May 1, 2025 - August 31, 2025 but position may convert to a full-time position.
Essential Duties/Functions:
- Receive and relay all incoming clientele.
- Provide intake and referral for incoming clientele.
- Collect from and assist the clientele in obtaining the necessary documentation.
- Identify clients' needs, determine appropriate action, and refer appropriate services.
- Provide follow-up on referrals made.
- Prepare, maintain, and file reports, forms and records.
- Date entry into the H-HEAP database program and Shah client database system
Other Duties/Functions:
- Develop and maintain a community resources directory
- Perform, maintain, and file reports, forms and records.
Working conditions: Mostly indoors in an air-conditioned office
Equipment use: Daily use of usual office equipment and supplies is required.
Work hours - Monday-Friday 7:45 am - 4:30 pm
Mental demands: Duties require alertness and attention to detail.
Physical demands: Duties require continuous sitting for periods of time.
Communiation demands: Duties require some communication with immediate supervisor and frequent communication with program participants. Extensive telephone and person to person communication is also a requirement.
Qualification requirements: Valid HI driver's license, clean traffic abstract, auto insurance, background clearance and TB clearance required. BA degree or any comparable combination of education and experience which would provide the knowledge skills and abilities to perform the essential duties of this position. Proficient in Word and Excel.
