Role Overview

Hale Kipa is seeking Paraprofessional staff to collaborate with Therapists serving youth and young adults aged 3-21, referred by the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Division. In this role, you will support the services and goals outlined in the Mental Health Treatment Plan by offering personalized mental health services to the youth. A key aspect of your work will involve engaging youth and their families, demonstrating knowledge of the community, and showcasing creativity. The primary focus of this program is to bolster families and enhance their use of community resources. As a Paraprofessional, you will often transport youth to appointments and activities and support other aspects of the youth's goals.

Additionally, you will be expected to demonstrate strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing, and work collaboratively with the Therapist and other stakeholders involved with the youth. You will be accountable for submitting timely documentation in the agency's electronic health record and will need to attend supervision meetings with the Therapist.

This is a fee-for-service position, meaning work is assigned based on availability and the needs of the client(s). The number of hours per week may range from 0 to 20 or more.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree in a human service field is required

Clinically supervised experience working with youth is essential

Must meet the credentialing requirements of the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Division

Requirements:

Access to a vehicle for the purpose of transporting youth.

A valid driver's license.

Current auto insurance and a safety check.

Salary:

$16.80 per hour
