Job Summary:
Po'ailani, Inc. is seeking for a full-time Primary Counselor for our Adult Co-occurring Treatment Facility. Hours are Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week.
Qualifications:
Minimum Bachelor's Degree in the Social Services field
Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) Certification or Actively working on it
Two (2) year's work experience in Behavioral Health
Knowledge of Chemical Dependency & Major Mental Illness
Knowledge of ASAM & ASI criteria
Strong clinical, crisis and time management skills
Must pass criminal background check
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Services provided by the Primary Counselor include but are not limited to the following:
Run a variety of Group Sessions, Mental Health Education, Trauma Informed Care, Relapse Prevention, CBT, Cognitive Restructuring, etc.
Complete Individual Counseling Sessions using ASAM
Develop Individualized Treatment / Crisis Plans
Read Psychiatric Evaluations to develop personalized treatment plans
The Primary Counselor is part of the Clinical Team to evaluate patient progress
Must be able to work in a fast-paced working environment
On-going training is provided
