Summary of Duties:
Professional role model to plan and coordinate the teen program for designated site. The teen director is responsible for providing the direction and leadership of the teen activities by working in conjunction with Club staff who will share in the responsibility of scheduling activities for teens in their respective staff roles and program areas.
Requirements:
Four year degree in related field from an accredited college or equivalent work experience.
A minimum of three years’ work experience in a Boys or Girls Club or similar organization planning and supervising activities of young people.
Able to instruct, coach, and direct varied teen activities.
Exercise independent judgment and initiative within general policy guidelines.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Strong group leadership skills, including an understanding of group dynamics.
Demonstrated organizational, staff and project management abilities.
Valid Driver’s License and maintain an acceptable driver’s record.
