POSITION: Teen Director at the Makawao Clubhouse
HOURS: 40 hours a week, Monday – Friday
PAY RATE: $23.00 an hour plus comprehensive benefit package
POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Teen Director is a full time mentorship role and will plan and coordinate the teen program for designated club site. This position provides fun and safe activities in core program areas that may include character and leadership, health and life skills, art, sports and recreation, education and career development.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
Four year degree in related field from an accredited college or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of three years’ work experience in a Boys or Girls Club or similar organization planning and supervising activities for young people.
Able to instruct, coach, and direct varied teen activities.
Able to engage youth members and manage behaviors for a safe environment
Exercise independent judgment and initiative within general policy guidelines.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Strong leadership skills including an understanding of group dynamics.
Demonstrated organizational and project management abilities.
Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
