Veterinary Receptionist responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
The Veterinary Receptionist position is part-time with the potential for full-time employment. Work hours are between 8am and 5pm. Duties include performing record keeping duties and clerical duties related to patient care and treatment, and providing miscellaneous support to the veterinary practice manager and health care team
Veterinary Receptionist responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Provide friendly, quality client care to the patients and clients
Check in and Discharge patients. Make new appointments or note changes in patient status as necessary
Schedule appointments, obtain all necessary data concerning the patient and owner. Prepare all required forms in advance when possible.
Collect lab specimens from pet owners, match patient record to the sample, and submit samples to Veterinary Technician
Ensuring the front desk, lobby, exam rooms, and other client spaces are kept clean at all times.
Understand and educate clients on vaccination protocol, as well as other general client education
Qualifications:
Proficiency in using a computer, emailing, and inputting data
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience in a related field (social work, customer service, non-profit) preferred
Must be comfortable working with animals (specifically dogs, cats, rabbits, and guinea pigs)
Must demonstrate compassion, patience, and empathy for others
Must enjoy working in collaboration with a team
