A well‐established construction company in Honolulu is seeking a responsible and energetic team member with previous administrative or accounting experience. Willing to train the right individual.
Responsibilities include:
Accounts Payable - Full cycle accounts payable / Verifying the accuracy and validity of all vendor invoices / Preparing and inputting vendor invoices accurately / Reconciling discrepancies to assure correct payments are processed to suppliers / Disbursing checks / Maintaining records / Responding to vendor and internal inquiries and resolving issues / Obtaining and maintaining vendor W-9 forms, 1099, etc.
Payroll - Weekly payroll processing / Maintaining and submitting reports / Assisting in HR functions /
Other Accounting Functions - Reconciliation of bank and varies general ledger accounts / Bank deposits / Assisting in financial statement preparation.
Other Administrative Support Activities.
Basic Requirements:
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and 10‐key by touch.
Excellent Interpersonal skills and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
Able to maintain confidentiality and respect for the privacy of employee records.
At least 2 years of Accounting, Administrative, or Clerical experience.
A valid driver license.
Associated Degree in accounting or related field is preferred.
Previous exposure to construction industry, a plus not required.
Knowledge of Sage 100 is a plus but not required.
