Information Referral Specialist (Mostly Remote)
Schedule: Monday – Sunday; 7am – 10:pm; 7 days a week; (evenings/weekends highly preferred)
Pay: $15.60/hour
Job type: PT and FT schedule; Temp-to-Hire, Mostly remote but will require some in person trainings from time to time. Must reside on the island of Oahu
About the Role
Do you have a passion to help our Ohana/community, then we want you! This role provides phone and clerical services for a company’s information and referral phone lines, providing essential help and hope to families.
Duties and Responsibilities
Answer incoming calls, texts, chats, emails to provide information and referrals
Completes data entry of caller log screens which record clients’ requests and referrals
Administers quality assurance checks by performing client follow-up
Deliver feedback to managers which can include recommendations for addition or deletion of services identified in the referral process
Supports a positive team environment through active participation in team-related activities
Occasionally assists with campaign functions
Participates in mandatory in office trainings (human service, customer care, technical) as required
Performs other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
Skills & Knowledge:
Must be able to handle difficult phone calls, including from community members in crisis, with empathy, confidentiality, and care.
Experience highly valued in working with high volumes of customer or client requests, or
with clients in stressful situations.
Comfortable with technology: Experience with CRM Database, Microsoft Suite including
Teams, internet phone system a plus.
Education & Experience:
Graduation from high school or GED.
Previous working experience in customer service or call center a plus
Previous working experience in nonprofit / human services helpful but not required.
Previous working experience in a team environment desired with strong communication
and interpersonal skills.
