Title: Janitor/Housekeeper
Reports To: General Manager
General Responsibilities:
Have a vision of the overall well being of Kaimana Lanais by ensuring the cleanliness of all furniture, fixtures, floors, glass windows/doors and equipment in common areas. Report to management all unusual incidents and accidents in the common areas, paying attention to safety hazards and items needing repair or replacement.
Daily Duties:
· Scrape up any gum on floors in common areas. Clean any stains on carpet in hallways. All common area hallways & elevator tracks are to be vacuumed Mon, Wed, Fri & as needed. Sweep and mop each floors’ trash chute rooms, including wiping down chute doors and walls. Bring down any bulk items found in chute rooms and report to RM.
· Cleaning of lower and upper parking areas, emptying of trash cans on landings & next to carwash, bird droppings on short wall tops behind stalls, sweeping rubbish on landings, stalls and elevator landings. Also wiping or mopping up spills on floors of elevator landings. Wiping down elevator doors, call buttons & trash can covers. Cleaning of elevator tracks for upper garage elevators.
· Vacuuming & mopping of main lobby, inside and outside, including stairs. Wiping down pictures in lobby, show case, plant leaves, fish tank, call up box empty trash cans, wipe down mail boxes. Wipe down entry doors to lobby area, wipe down office windows, lobby mirrors, Couch & both benches next to elevator and vacuum cushions. Monthly cleanout of lobby chandelier.
· Sweep and mop small hallway leading from mail room to recreation deck and lower garage area.
· Sweep and mop both elevators, wipe down walls and call up button panel, and clean elevator cab & lobby tracks.
· Wipe down all emergency fire hose red boxes; fire alarm pull-stations and Exit signs and stairwell doors, storage locker doors, mirrors, and benches.
· Check all lights in hallways, stairwells, and above residents’ doors.
· Clean stairwells on each floor. Wipe down hand rails, sweep and mop as needed in all stairwells. Upper and lower garage stairwells will be posted on weekly schedules.
· Restrooms-Wipe down mirrors, stall doors, napkin & soap dispensers and doors & walls if needed. Clean toilets and sinks. Refill toilet paper and hand towels. Sweep and mop floors. Replace toilet and urinal deodorizers and empty trash cans. Wipe down door handles.
· Recreation Room- Clean kitchen sink, wipe down stove and Refrigerator. Wipe down cabinets, recreation room tables & Chairs, red fire hose box and red fire alarm box. Wipe glass windows on kitchen door and all glass sliding and stationary doors. Vacuum carpet and sweep and mop kitchen floor, wipe down door handles.
· Landscaping- Lawn mowing/weed eating is done every Wednesday and as needed by the Maintenance Chief, unless otherwise scheduled. Your assistance is needed to help remove debris resulting from all landscaping activities.
· Daily cleaning of rubbish & dead/fallen shrubbery on lawn, sidewalks, and street gutters around property. Daily checking & cleaning of weeds in between plants.
· Additional duties as instructed may be necessary.
