The makers of Maui's Organic Ocean Vodka and Kula Rum have an opening for a full-time in-house sales associates.
We are looking for professional, sales-oriented team players to conduct tours and tastings at our organic farm and distillery in Kula. The ideal candidate will have relevant beverage and/or hospitality experience and thrive in a customer service environment where establishing rapport and educating customers are the goals. You might come from another industry, but if you have a high level of customer service, sales knowledge, are familiar with organic farming culture and the wine and spirits industry we would like to meet you.
POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
ì Provide all guests with an educational, fun and memorable experience
ì Conduct farm and distillery tours with passion and enthusiasm
ì Work behind a tasting bar leading private and group tastings
ì Talk with guests answering questions about spirit production and organic farming practices
ì Sell spirits and merchandise in a gracious manner consistent with our brand essence
ì Must be available to work Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays plus a varied and flexible schedule including holidays, approximately 6-8 hours per day on 4-5 days per week

QUALIFICATIONS:
ì Must be at least 21 years old
ì Previous tasting room, hospitality or wine and/or spirits sales experience preferred but not required
ì Must hold a Maui County Liquor card, if not, be willing to obtain one within 2 weeks of starting employment.
ì General knowledge of spirit production is a plus
ì Strong knowledge and passion for local and organic agriculture
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
ì Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds on an intermittent basis
ì Ability to work in a standing position for extended periods of time
