Grocery Stocker - Kapolei
Schedule: Part time (2 days per week)
Thursday's and Friday's (only) 6am-430pm
Pay Rate: $17.00/hr.
Job Description:
1. Customer Service
a. Make eye contact and smile at each customer you come within 10 feet of and greet all customers you come within four feet of.
b. Find out what the customer wants
c. Go the extra mile for the customer – do something for them that they are not expecting
d. Be knowledgeable about the products we sell and help customers with their questions
e. Find help if you don’t know the answer to a customer’s question
2. Merchandising
a. Follow shelf tags, and ensure every item has one
b. Shelf cleaning, drink cooler, drink aisle, chip aisle
c. Ensure every promo item has a proper sign
d. Clean the shelves
3. Profit
a. Being friendly and helpful to customers
b. Ensure the department and store is clean, well-stocked, well organized and well merchandised
c. Work productively and avoid wasting time by working efficiently
d. Work safely, as injuries are extremely expensive to both the individual who is injured and to the company
e. Work co-operatively with your fellow team members and managers
4. Safety
a. Volunteer to assist with inspections
b. Correct any items brought to your attention
c. Wear safety footwear
d. Do the stretching exercises every shift.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
1. Friendly, courteous manner in dealing with a variety of situations and personalities
2. Ability to read, write, and speak English well

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

4. Lifting: frequently up to 15 pounds, occasionally up to 30 pounds, rarely up to 50 pounds (e.g., stocking, customer service, cashiering)
5. Carrying: frequently up to 15 pounds, occasionally up to 30 pounds, rarely up to 50 pounds (stocking, customer service, cashiering)
6. Pushing/Pulling: occasionally up to 50 pounds (e.g., stocking, customer service)
7. Stooping, bending, and kneeling frequently (e.g., stocking, purchasing)
ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
1. Frequently works indoors in air-conditioned store and office settings and with store and office equipment such as cash registers, trolleys, dolly’s, refrigeration equipment, computers, telephone, microwaves, etc.
2. Occasionally works in refrigerated spaces e.g., walk in chill boxes and freezers. Freezers can be down too minus 10 degrees
