Our Paia gallery showcases limited-edition fine-art prints, custom framing, apparel, and events that celebrate Maui’s vibrant ocean culture and creative community.
The Role
We’re looking for a part-time Art Consultant to join our Paia team. You’ll be the face of the gallery—welcoming visitors, guiding clients through the art selection process, and helping collectors find pieces that speak to their space and story.
This position is ideal for someone who’s passionate about art, ocean culture, photography, and building relationships in a high-end yet approachable retail environment.
Responsibilities
Greet and engage visitors with authentic Maui hospitality.
Provide art consultations—help clients choose the right size, material, and framing for their space.
Share Bo Bridges’ story and educate guests on edition sizes, print types, and the creative process.
Process sales, take custom orders, and handle shipping or delivery details.
Maintain gallery displays and ensure artwork and merchandise are beautifully presented.
Assist with events, private showings, and local community gatherings.
Track client leads and follow up to grow collector relationships.
Qualifications
Prior experience in art, retail, luxury, or hospitality sales preferred (but not required).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Positive, professional, and self-motivated.
Interest in photography, surf, and Maui lifestyle culture.
Comfortable working weekends and flexible hours (gallery is open daily 11 a.m.–6 p.m.).
Compensation
$20/hour base pay
Commission on art sales and custom orders
Flexible part-time schedule (8–24 hours/week)
