We are launching a new co-branded retail space that brings together these two powerful brands to the North Shore of Kauai: Slow Yourself Down + Florence Marine X, which aims to be a hub for ocean-inspired clothing, gear, and storytelling.
Role
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Associate to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service, driving sales, and maintaining an organized store environment. This position requires a friendly demeanor, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail setting.
Duties
Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs.
Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions accurately.
Maintain knowledge of current sales promotions and product offerings to effectively sell to customers and educate them on the benefits.
Stock shelves and ensure that merchandise is displayed attractively according to the store manager's layout guides.
Assist in supervising store operations during shifts, ensuring compliance with company policies.
Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
Utilize basic math skills for cash handling and processing transactions efficiently.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales floor and stockroom.
Demonstrate effective phone etiquette when answering customer calls or inquiries.
This role will report directly to the store manager with insights and discoveries as needed.
Requirements
Previous experience in retail or sales is preferred but not mandatory.
Strong customer service skills with a focus on creating positive shopping experiences.
Ability to operate cash registers and point-of-sale (POS) systems efficiently.
Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
Experience in supervising or leading a team is a plus.

Our compound seeks dynamic and friendly staff to foster a warm and welcoming environment while also spreading love and aloha to all. Our products are thoughtfully designed in-house and feature Organic cotton and responsibly sourced technical apparel.
