Job Description: Provide design solutions to homeowners on remodeling and new home-build projects. The design consultant role is to draw in new clients and build rapport with homeowners, evaluate their needs, recommend solutions, provide design concepts, client agreements, oversee the project, and provide complete customer satisfaction.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Produce new leads and follow up with assigned leads
Present and sell company services to current and potential clients. Ensure that each client receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment, maintaining solid product knowledge and all other aspects of customer service
Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from marketing activities and self-generated marketing activities
Participate and help in setting up marketing events such as seminars and trade shows
Assist in the implementation of company marketing plans
Identify, qualify sales prospects, contact, and follow through to close per the company’s documented sales process
Prepare proposals and pre-construction agreements
Develop and maintain knowledge of the construction process
Maintain an awareness of all promotions and advertisements
Establish and maintain current client and potential client data base list
Identify and resolve client concerns
Follow-up with clients for collection of payments based upon the terms of the construction contract
Sell consultatively and make recommendations to prospects and clients of the various solutions to satisfy their needs
Keep communication with clients throughout the construction process
Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes
Work with homeowners to determine preferred design and project selections
Prepare design solutions that include floor plans, cabinet plans and elevations, perspectives and associated details and specifications to meets the clients’ needs
Communicate with Superintendents and Project Manager on a regular basis to update them on changes that need to be considered during construction
Answer questions from field personnel on installation
