I sell custom art prints and posters, wholesale to retail, packaged by themes, such as Hawaiiana. I am looking to hire someone with experience in direct sales to gift shops to help establish accounts. I recently had requests for Hawaiian prints from a handful of shops and condo owners but I live in Kihei and work in Kaanapali FT, with that schedule I'll need help getting this off the ground. Once that's rolling I'll also need an assistant to help manage the accounts thereafter.
Initially I can pay a generous commission on each account opened until I reach an attainable threshold, whereby I will add a generous monthly salary for the added responsibilities. That might take 3-6 months, but I need a crack salesperson to facilitate that because ultimately I see this enterprise as a two person operation. I will be working mainly with my printer, maintaining files/database, producing content to fill orders, managing the supply chain, etc., back of the house stuff.
I have a few hundred demo prints to show clients and a nifty system to merchandise them. It's designed specifically for the Hawaii market and based on my experience selling art prints in Lahaina years ago. Size is important. Standard size posters are too big. My 11 x 17" Accent Posters are my best seller because they're the perfect size. For the shop, they're easy to sell, plus display and stock. For the customer, they're high-quality and affordable. These poster prints are ideal as a perfect, lasting souvenir of Hawaii. They also make great gifts and they're easy to pack home in any luggage.
Art prints and posters are already widely popular here and sold just about everywhere, because they sell. And you don't have to explain what to do with them so they sell themselves. Shopkeepers are always looking for something new and better to display so they're shops don't go stale. So we're doing them a favor by stopping in and offering them something new and fresh to show their
customers. This makes their job a lot easier too, and they're likely to show appreciation for that.
