Honest Rituals is a spa in Topanga Canyon, CA and Kauai, HI founded by Elizabeth Carter in 2019. We are for the natural woman and man seeking holistic beauty rituals. We provide unique healing and relaxing treatments that focus on skin rejuvenation from the inside out. We specialize and are known for the Sculpting Facial Massage; a highly effective non-surgical treatment that lifts, tones, firms, and rebalances the facial posture. In addition, we offer a full Facial Menu, Body Work, Nail Bar, Brow Bar, Lash Bar, and a Tea Bar exclusive to our Kauai Studio. All backbar and retail products are thoroughly vetted by our founder and team to be organic, without harmful ingredients, and as natural as possible.

The Opportunity: Nail Tech
A licensed Nail Technician role at Honest Rituals involves providing professional nail care services using natural products and holistic practices. This position emphasizes exceptional client service, personalized nail treatments, and a strong knowledge of our signature nail system, Dazzle Dry. This person thrives on client interaction and conversation, and knows how to build strong rapport to keep clients returning. A Nail Technician at Honest Rituals is adept at making thoughtful product and service recommendations to enhance client satisfaction and make sales. They manage their time efficiently, ensuring clients transition smoothly through our spa experience while handling sensitive situations with care. They have a keen eye for detail and sense of responsibility, ensuring our nail bar is impeccably maintained and up to State Board of Cosmetology standards. They are systems-oriented, consistently seeking ways to streamline processes for the benefit of both clients and the team. As we are in an expansion and discovery period, we’re looking for collaboration and gracefulness when adapting to change.
Who You Are
Valid Nail Technician License in the State of Hawaii
1+ year(s) of experience as a Nail Technician
Familiar with Dazzle Dry, our products, services, and treatments
Familiar with Square register software
Strong sense of independence, organization, and a natural motivator
Clear and kind communicator
What You’ll Do:
Perform professional nail treatments such as manicure, pedicures, and foot soaks that include cleaning and shaping clients’ nails
Remove existing gel manicure and previously applied nail polish from fingernails and toenails
Consult clients on nail polish colors, and desired nail length and shape
Massage clients’ feet, legs, arms, and hands
Build and maintain strong client relationships through exceptional service
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary nail bar
Ensure adherence to all Honest Rituals Spa policies and protocols
Stay updated on the latest industry trends, techniques, and products
Participate in continuous education and team trainings
Nail Technician License (Required)
Ability to Commute: Princeville, HI (Required)
Ability to Relocate: Princeville, HI: Relocate before starting work (Required)
