The Spa Supervisor is responsible for, but not limited to, the direct daily supervision of spa employees for our two Maui locations. The Spa Supervisor will report directly to the Spa Manager and will deliver transformational spa experiences through the development, training, and ongoing evaluation of all spa employees, including massage therapists, estheticians, and spa receptionists. This position is hands-on, requiring the Spa Supervisor to demonstrate excellent organizational and decision-making skills without daily supervision. Hawaii residents with a massage or esthetician license are preferred, though consideration will be extended to qualified applicants with spa, hotel, or retail leadership experience.
Essential functions include, but are not limited to:
-Supporting the Spa Manager by providing direct supervision and support for all Maui employees
-Actively promoting spa services and retail offerings to spa patrons and hotel partners via in-person and phone interactions
-Coordinating spa appointment requests and handling all associated sales transactions
-Delivering induction and refresher training for new and existing spa therapists, receptionists, and other employees
-Creating and evaluating guest service protocols
-Preparing and managing employee schedules for each location
-Collaborating with Spa Manager on sales, marketing, and other operational initiatives
-Maintaining awareness of industry trends, attending events and trainings as required
-Creating solutions for spa therapists, guests, and resort hosts through phone calls and personal interactions
-Providing daily briefings to all spa employees on shift and attending meetings as required
-Performing MOD support to all spa employees on a rotation basis, providing them with support as required
-Demonstrating a flexible work schedule, including weekends
Requirements:
-2 years of experience in a spa setting (required)
-Previous supervisory experience (required)
-Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
-Proficient in English (verbal and written)
-Must be willing to work a flexible schedule
Skills:
-Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
-Computer literacy to include Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, and spa booking programs
-Strong aptitude and knowledge of spa therapies and spa products
