Job Description: Are you enthusiastic about boat building? We are offering an amazing opportunity for a driven individual to join our team as a Boat Builder Apprentice to kickstart an exciting career in the marine industry! In this role, you will receive comprehensive training and support to ensure that the construction of vessels meets the highest standards and complies with USCG regulations. Responsibilities:
Train, assist, and perform boat-building tasks including but not limited to carpentry, painting, carbon and glass layups, vacuum bagging, fairing and sanding, wiring, gluing, and installing marine systems.
Maintain a clean, organized shop area and upkeep tools, parts, equipment, and supplies
Comply with all safety procedures and maintain good housekeeping and safety in work areas.
Perform necessary errands
Requirements:
Available to work flexible hours, including weekends & holidays.
Ability to work 35-40 hours per week, with overtime approval from the supervisor or manager.
Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation with the provision of a driver's abstract for any out-of-state driver's license upon hire.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, drawings/blueprints,
and procedure manuals.
Proficiency in English, with the ability to effectively communicate and understand verbal and written communications.
Must have a reliable means of contact, such as a cell phone.
