We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician/Foreman to join our team. This working schedule for this electrician will be (4)10-hour days, providing a 3-day weekend to promote work/life balance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of solar energy systems, including photovoltaic (PV) panels, inverters, and other associated equipment. The Journeyman Electrician/Foreman will work both independently and as part of a team to ensure the efficient and safe operation of solar power systems. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, attention to detail, and a commitment to workplace safety.

Journeyman Electrician/Foreman Responsibilities:

Install inverters, batteries and associated electrical components according to design specifications and industry standards.

Perform electrical wiring and connections for solar energy systems, ensuring compliance with local electrical codes and regulations.

Conduct site assessments to determine optimal placement of solar panels and assess potential shading issues.

Troubleshoot and repair solar energy systems, including identifying and resolving electrical issues.

Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning panels and inspecting electrical connections, to ensure optimal system performance.

Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to coordinate installation projects and resolve technical issues.

Maintain accurate records of installation, maintenance, and repair activities, including documenting equipment serial numbers and warranty information.

Adhere to safety protocols and procedures, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) and following established safety guidelines.

Stay informed about advances in solar technology and industry best practices through training and professional development opportunities.

Provide excellent customer service, including answering questions and addressing concerns from clients regarding their solar energy systems.

Journeyman Electrician/Foreman Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a formal apprenticeship program or vocational training in electrical systems preferred.

Valid electrician's license or certification required; additional certification in solar installation or renewable energy systems highly desirable.

Strong knowledge of electrical principles, wiring methods, and electrical codes and regulations.

Experience with hand and power tools commonly used in electrical work.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.

Physical ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
