This is a great opportunity to live on a beautiful , peaceful , tropical Hawaiian estate while maintaining its 5 buildings , grounds and gardens . We are looking for an individual/couple who will be responsible for regular and in-depth maintenance of our estate and its homes/ grounds and treating it with outmost pride and respect as if it was their own . Someone who is craft-oriented , has knowledge and background in basic building trades : carpentry , plumbing ,appliances , comfort in operating power tools, landscaping , knowledge regarding proper care and maintenance of lawn, trees, shrubs, flowers, irrigation etc (or manage the maintenance of ). Perform as needed maintenance , repairs , gardening , troubleshooting issues and planning and coordinating large maintenance projects . Cleaning of homes ( or organize , and oversee the cleaners ) , pick up and drive owners to airport , make sure owner car is filled , washed and ready to drive . Help vendors in preparing the property for events on as needed basis.
Job Qualifications: Experience:
Five years combined experience in two or more of the following areas: landscape maintenance, handyman services, facilities maintenance, plumbing, carpentry, events planning or other related areas of expertise.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Valid Driver’s License
· Ability to maintain a highly productive work output without immediate supervision
· Ability to lift 50 pounds to a maximum height of 6 feet, including occasional lifting up to 80 pounds
· Ability to stoop, bend, kneel, climb, and remain standing and walking on feet for lengthy periods of time
· Ability to safely operate recreation machinery, power machinery, lawn care tools , mowers, edgers, clippers, Bobcat,.
· Ability to work " on demand " - must be available 24 /7
· Good judgement and decision-making skills
· High attention to detail, organization, and follow-through of daily routines
· Ability to be proactive, anticipate needs, and initiate appropriate action steps, while being cognizant of the big-picture perspective
This is a full time position ( but you can set your own hours with lots of flexibility ) - comes with a charming , clean large one bedroom house in a very beautiful , serene setting .
This is an ideal situation for someone that is looking for a LONG term commitment ( our current caretakers are retiring after 6 years with us ) - we hope to find someone who likes nature ( our house is in a beautiful countryside ) , peace , who appreciates privacy but is also self reliant can step up and deal with situations when they arise.
