Part-Time Heavy Duty Mechanic – $70/hour (You Pick Your Hours)
We are a growing construction and excavation company with excavators, forklift, manlift and skid steer. We’re looking for one highly skilled, no-drama heavy duty mechanic who wants top-tier pay without the full-time grind.
The Deal
- Pay: Flat $70.00 per hour – paid weekly (1099 or W2, your choice)
- Schedule: Truly flexible, part-time. Work as little or as much as you want.
- Need 5-10 hours a week to keep everything humming? Great.
- Want 16-20 hours some weeks and zero the next? Also great.
- Nights, weekends, weekends, or straight days – you tell us what works for your life.
- Location: Our main yard at the old sugar mill. Most work is done in our heated shop some times it’s a field call if you’re up for them (extra pay if after-hours).
- No mandatory meetings, no forced overtime, no micromanagement.
What You’ll Do
- Diagnose and repair Caterpillar, Komatsu, Bobcat and Case equipment
- Major component work (engines, transmissions, hydraulics, differentials, final drives)
- Preventive maintenance and annual DOT inspections on our fleet
- The hard stuff the average shop turns away (we don’t want oil-change techs; we want the person everyone else calls when they’re stuck)
Must-Have
- Minimum 5 years of real heavy equipment & diesel experience (no light-duty only)
- Your own tools (we supply specialty tools, scanners, welders, presses, etc.)
- Clean driving record (field calls require it)
- Ability to work independently and get it right the first time
