‘Ao‘ao O Nā Loko I‘a O Maui, a local Maui non-profit organization, is seeking part-time Fishpond Stone Masons who are experienced in both, dry stack masonry and educating the public. Masons will work together as a fishpond restoration crew to restore the walls of Kō‘ie‘ie Fishpond located in North Kīhei and will assist the non-profit’s education team in teaching community members about Kō‘ie‘ie fishpond, the Hawaiian culture, and marine environment. Applicants should have at least one year experience in dry stack masonry, have good communication skills, be able to work effectively with a diverse range of people and age groups, and have a strong Hawaiian cultural background. Being fluent in Hawaiian is a plus. Hours average 16 hours per week and schedule must be flexible. Pay is based upon experience and positions are available immediately. This is a temporary part-time position.
