Overview:
Caring for historically preserved fishponds and assisting in irrigation maintenance of Mauna Lani Resort.M-F.
Fishpond Duties:
Keep waterways clean to maintain proper flow of fishponds.
Some tree trimming.
Removing predators to maintain fishpond balance.
Periodic stocking of fishponds.
Willingness to learn and appreciate the history and significance of Native Hawaiian Fishponds.
Irrigation Duties:
Repair, clean and adjust sprinkler heads.
Assist with major irrigation repairs.
Learn to manage Toro central irrigation computer system.
Required:
Self motivated. Ability to work independently.
Interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with guests a plus.
Professional demeanor.
Ability to lift 80lbs.
Ability to work outdoors in direct sunlight and all of Hawaii's seasons year round.
Ability to swim a must.
Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.
