Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Project Engineer to join our team. The Project Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the engineering and technical aspects of millwork projects from concept through installation. This role requires close collaboration with the design, production, and installation teams to ensure all projects meet specifications, quality standards, timelines, and budget constraints.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Coordination: Work closely with project managers, designers, and clients to understand project specifications and objectives.
Administrative: Assist with RFI & submittal processes, have a full understanding of administrative requirements for all projects assigned.
Technical Drawings: Understand, review, and markup detailed CAD drawings and shop drawings to ensure design accuracy, material usage, and manufacturability.
Engineering Support: Provide technical guidance and solutions throughout the project lifecycle, including material selection, construction methods, and hardware integration.
Production Oversight: Coordinate with the production team to ensure smooth workflow, troubleshoot issues, and make necessary adjustments to ensure quality and efficiency.
Timeline Management: Track project timelines, ensuring that key milestones are met and coordinating changes when necessary.
Safety & Compliance: Ensure that all work complies with safety standards, industry codes, and customer specifications.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
Entry level - 5 years of experience in a project engineering role, preferably in the cabinetry, woodworking, or millwork industry.
Familiarity with design tools (CAD, Bluebeam, etc.)
Strong understanding of woodworking techniques, cabinet construction, and materials (wood, veneer, laminates, hardware, etc.).
