HNU Energy is seeking well-organized and highly productive PV Installers to work with a team in the field installing Commercial and Residential grid-tied PV systems with battery backup.
The PV Installer will measure, cut, and assemble the support structure for solar PV panels.
Install solar modules, panels, and support structures according to the customer requirements,
and building codes and standards.
Required Education and Skill Set:
H.S. Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of two years of commercial or residential construction experience on multi-story dwellings.
Self-motivated work style.
Excellent communication and customer service skills and experience.
High degree of professionalism; clean appearance, positive attitude, and team player.
MUST have reliable transportation.
Experience with all types of hand-held and power tools, as well as small machinery.
Ability to solve problems and implement ideas.
Preferred Education and Skill Set:
Two-year degree in technology/industrial arts.
Knowledge of solar photovoltaic systems.
Knowledge of the PV marketplace and industry.
Desire to stay on the leading edge of the PV industry.
Knowledge of electrical wiring in residential or commercial applications.
Proficiency on a PC computer (MS Word, Excel).
Experience working with and mounting to all types of building materials - various roof types, wood, tile, composite shingle, concrete, membrane, etc.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to work in the sun for 8-9 hours per day.
Must be able to work at great heights.
Prolonged periods of kneeling, bending, crouching, and climbing ladders.
Must be able to lift 50lbs at a time.
