Overview
The tower technician plays an essential role in performing a wide variety of field activities associated with installing, maintaining, and testing various telecommunication components & equipment with heights up to 500 feet in accordance with OSHA safety guidelines.
Qualifications / Duties
Ability to pass all required pre-employment processes, including a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
A valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
Good physical stamina, including the ability to climb towers, lift, pull, and push up to 75 lbs., and maintain various body positions for extended periods.
Willingness to travel within the State of Hawaii, with overnight stays ranging from 1-4 days on an as-needed basis. Per Diem will be provided for all overnight travel.
Familiarity with basic hand tools and the ability to manipulate industry-specific equipment and instruments with precision within designated work areas.
Provide maintenance services such as grinding down rust spots and painting equipment
Assistance with various testing procedures, including Fiber testing, PIM testing, and Sweep tests.
Ability to climb and rappel from towers and buildings as needed to provide installation or demolition services.
Availability for night work on an as-needed basis.
Installing and mounting antenna / monopoles and fiber optic or coax cables
Other duties as assigned to support project needs.
Training and Certifications

Employment Details
This is a full-time position, typically Monday through Friday. The starting pay is $22 per hour, with potential for variation based on experience. Interisland travel and stays, as well as weekend work, are required on an as-needed basis.
