Join the largest locally owned and operated commercial waste management company in Hawaii. Honolulu Disposal Service is seeking experienced Auto Body Technician to join our growing team. This position will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of our company's motor vehicles (Front-End Load Truck, Rolloff Truck, Tractor Trailer, Scout Truck, etc.) in a safe and timely manner.
Essential Job Functions
· Examines & establishes a repair plan that includes all vehicle damage
· MIG welding and braising
· Spot welding
· Understand repair procedures and utilize suggested research knowledge to repair
· Disassemble & reassemble vehicle to gain access to damaged areas
· Disassembly & reassembly or replacement of electronic systems and wiring
· Able to remove/replace damaged parts using power tools and cutting torch
· Straightening of damaged items (frame & parts)
· File, grind and sand repaired surfaces, using power tools and hand tools
· Restore cosmetic damages of vehicles to original look by using filling and sanding techniques
· Knowledge and skill in appropriate use of adhesives and corrosion protection products
