Immediate openings for Special Needs Van Drivers, Van Aides and CDL School Bus Drivers, to join our team at Akita Enterprises, Ltd. on the Island of Kaua'i in Lihue and other areas on island.

Job openings is for Morning and Afternoon School Runs, Mid Day's and Charters.
Special Education Van Drivers - Regular Hawai'i Driver License is required - 21yrs or older - $23.00
Special Education Van Aides - 18yrs or older - No drivers license needed - $20.00
School Bus drivers - CDL License GVWR 31,000 and up- 21yrs or older - $30.00
Job Duties are:
Taking students to school in the morning and taking them home in the afternoons. Pre-trips and Post trips are mandatory for all drivers.
This is a perfect job for DOE School Employee's that already work at these schools or Retirees, Students and stay at home Moms / Dads who want to work just a few hours per day.
Split Shift hours include Morning school runs and Afternoon school runs. Please inquire within for more information.
Requirements are:
Must have a mindset that Safety is always #1 Priority
For School Bus Drivers only - B License with School Bus, Passenger and Airbrakes Endorsements -
We are willing to train serious applicants only to gain your CDL License
For Van Drivers - Regular Hawaii Drivers License is needed
Van Aides will be trained on our Sped Vans to assist the Van Driver - No Driver license required
Must be able to pass drug screen test (Drivers Only)
Pass a DOT physical exam to receive your PUC Medical Card (Drivers only)
Be able to pass a Criminal background check as well as DOE Fingerprinting and Criminal Background check (All Employee's)
Able to work well and have Respect and Patience with all student's, Adults and Staff members
Follow Company, State, DOE and Transportation rules at all times. Safety is a huge Priority with Akita Enterprises.
Reliable, Flexible, Team Player and have a Positive Attitude
Excellent Communication skills
Good driving record - Drivers only
Willing to be certified in First Aide/CPR
