TOS - Intercampus Shuttle Driver & Student Supervision

Work Hours (Work Schedule will vary slightly depending on route)
Morning
Monday – Friday 7:15-8:45 or 7:30 – 9:00
Afternoon
Monday – Thursday 1:45-3:30
Friday 11:00 – 12:15
Summary:
The Temporary Operations Support – Intercampus Shuttle Driver & Student Supervision (TOS) provides supervision and coordination for the K-6 students who ride the intercampus shuttles before and after school. The TOS effectively transitions students back to their caregivers at the end of the day. The TOS helps to create a supportive, organized extended day environment for participating HAAS students.
Education, Experience and Qualifications:
Relevant experience working with school age children.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Valid driver license and satisfactory traffic abstract.
Ability to drive a 14-passenger van.
Knowledge of: Standard English language communication skills in order to speak, read and write effectively; grammar; arithmetic, including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division; student/classroom management techniques; and common academic social, behavioral and developmental problems of students.
Ability to: Understand and follow oral and written instructions; perform a variety of classroom activities and related clerical tasks; learn classroom management and student care methods and techniques; speak and work effectively with students and others; learn practical aspects of educational program goals, functions, and activities; implement learning activities; assess students' progress and modify learning activities and methods as necessary; develop rapport and recognize the need to seek technical advice and assistance; and use duplicating and other office and classroom machines and equipment.
Must be ethical and honest. Must have excellent interpersonal, organizational, time management, follow-through, and oral and written communication skills. Must be extremely flexible and able to work independently. Must be knowledgeable and comfortable working with technology and software programs, and be able to acquire additional skills for use of software, databases or other information systems as necessary.
Must be able to meet professional obligations through efficient work habits such as: meeting deadlines, honoring schedules, coordinating resources in and effective and timely manner, and demonstrating respect for others. Must be able to successfully analyze information, manage complexity, report results, enter data, and observe school and district policies as well as state and federal laws with attention to detail, confidentiality, and thoroughness. Must accept responsibility and be self-motivated. Must maintain a high level of confidentiality with regard to employees, students and parents and work effectively with school staff, district personnel, and the general public.
