What you will be doing:Develop and implement an IT strategy that aligns with the overall business goals, ensuring technology investments support long-term growth.Oversee all IT systems' installation, configuration, and maintenance, including property management systems (PMS), point-of-sale (POS) systems, guest Wi-Fi, telecommunications, and back-office systems.Ensure that the networks and data are protected from cyber threats through the implementation of robust security measures, including firewalls, encryption, and regular audits.Manage relationships with technology vendors and service providers, negotiating contracts and ensuring timely support for software, hardware, and network services.Lead and manage IT projects, including system upgrades, new technology rollouts, and infrastructure improvements.Recruit, train, and supervise IT staff, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to support the hotel’s technology needs.Ensure that technology enhances the guest experience, providing seamless services such as high-speed internet, in-room entertainment, and efficient booking and check-in/check-out processes.Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective technology solutions and resource allocation.Keep up-to-date with the latest trends in hotel technology and recommend innovations that can improve guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.Communicate with other departments to ensure the smooth running of operations.Informing management about the status and progress of IT initiatives.Regular participation in HOD meetingsTechnical support for all employees and guest if needed as well as the organization of employee training to ensure the efficient use of IT systems and tools.Troubleshooting of IT issues that arise.
