This individual is responsible for the repairs and preventive maintenance for all facilities at the resort. The role of the engineer is to provide a safe and healthy environment for our colleagues' and our guests to enjoy.What you will be doing:Skill in the use of hand and electrical tools with familiarity of parts and materials for maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment, kitchen equipment, HVAC, plumbing, finishes, masonry, and FF&E.Respond to guest and colleagues requests throughout the facility to make necessary repairs to accommodate the customer’s needs in a timely and courteous manner.Performs rounds on critical systems and can identify/trouble shoot system deficiencies.Performs preventive maintenance on product and all major equipment.Misc special projects inclusive of but not limited to set-up/breakdown of power and lighting equipment, involving pushing/pulling/lifting and fabrication.Consistently document the completion of assigned work orders.Maintain, clean and organize a properly stocked storeroom by keeping an inventory of supplies, parts and equipment manuals to quickly complete repairsObtains price quotations and fills out requisitions for parts and supplies.Apply necessary precautions with regards to the hotel safety and hygiene standards (HACCP)Be well versed in hotel fire & life safety/emergency proceduresMaintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all timesPerform other reasonable duties assigned by the Management of the Hotel
