Description:
We are looking for someone who loves to educate and engage children, specifically preschool-aged children. At Saalt, we are all about empowering women and that means supporting their families too. We believe that everyone should have all the opportunity and resources they need to become their best selves. We need you to create a fun and educational environment for our employees' children so they look forward to going to work with Mom or Dad every time they can.
Details:
Hours: 15 hours per week
-Monday, ªWednesday, Friday 9:30am-2:30pm¬
Pay: $10+/hr depending on experiences
Currently will be watching 6 children regularly.
Parents will be on site, but we have a dedicated classroom and playroom.

We do more with less, make deliberate choices about our bodies, and believe everyone should know what their cervix is! We also work to end menstrual shame and period poverty by providing period care and education to women and girls in need. We believe periods should end sentences, not opportunity.
Responsibilities will include:
Create a safe, fun and engaging learning environment for young, preschool-aged children with age-appropriate instruction (shapes, numbers, colors, alphabet, early reading, art, motor skills, etc.)
Develop and maintain a constructive and ongoing rapport with children and parents
Research and recommend preschool activities that are fun and challenging for different ages
Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, play, media, crafts, etc).
Observe each child and help them improve their social competencies
Remain positive and encouraging with the children to help build their self-esteem
Manage day-to-day classroom activities, including lessons, free play, bathroom breaks, snacks, meals and rest
You do not have to change diapers. Parents will be working in the office and can change their children's diapers as needed
Maintain a clean room and tidy up at the end of each day
Qualifications:
Must love interacting with children
Strong understanding of the principles and stages of child development
Ability to act as a mediator between children
Familiar with Love and Logic parenting for children
Preschool or elementary teaching experience preferred
Preschool or Elementary education training a plus
Naturally kind and patient disposition
Optimistic and encouraging
Creativity and an enjoyment of crafting
Physically capable of lifting, holding, and caring for small children
You are welcome to bring your own preschool-aged children to work.
