This position requires maneuvering around tight locations; so, a high level of experience in this type of work is a must. The Heavy Equipment Operator earns an initial salary of $25-30 per hour, paid weekly, this is a prevailing wage job, which is project specific, and may pay up to $34 per hour depending on experience.
