IT Operations Analyst – Mid Shift (6:00 pm – 2:00 am) The State of Idaho Controller's Office is an equal opportunity employer. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES To coordinate operational resources with the data processing schedule through the use efficient production scheduling techniques. To perform functions associated with the CSC Tier1 Support team. To operate and monitor IT equipment across various SCO owned platforms. Job Functions: · Identify computer processing problems and steps required to solve problems/restarts · Assists customers with problem resolution and questions arising from job processing · Develops production schedules and modifies schedules when required · Reviews production procedures to ensure compliance to production scheduling requirements · Identify, log, and route Help Desk incidents · Determine what and who an incident will affect and notify the appropriate customer/support · Monitor the help desk open incidents · Troubleshoot and correct customer sign on problems · Test new software releases · Create and maintain technical training documentation for IT Systems Operators and IT Production Specialists · Train new production specialists, operators, and help desk personnel · Coordinates and provides operations support at a disaster recovery site · Operates and monitors IT system and supporting hardware equipment · Performs various tasks to ensure systems are operational and stable · Perform hardware preventive maintenance · Troubleshoots system operating problems and determines the cause of system interruptions · Resolves and coordinate problem resolution with in-house staff and vendors · Enforces physical security of datacenter environment Additional Functions: · Strong written and verbal communication skills · Contributes to the positive performance of the computer services division and the office · Demonstrates timely and consistent attendance (critical to this position), this is an in-office position with no remote work · Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications: · Experience maintaining production schedules and meeting pre-defined deadlines · Provide aid to customers and convey information to technical staff · Reading and comprehending technical material · Experience documenting operational problems and some knowledge of computer systems · Demonstrates good knowledge of steps involved in computer operations workflow · Ability to interpret technical materials and adhere to documented processes/procedures · Strong organization, problem solving and multi-tasking skills · Sensitive to confidential information and privacy while providing customer service · Strong sense of customer service and professionalism, even in a sometimes-stressful environment · Ability to meet deadlines while being interrupted and to adapt to constantly changing situations · Ability to complete assigned tasks individually, as well as work cooperatively as a team to complete tasks · Perform job duties in a consistent, thorough and accurate manner Benefits:The State of Idaho offers a robust total compensation package, including medical, vision, and dental insurance; PERSI retirement benefits; paid sick, vacation, and parental leave; and 11 paid holidays per year.
