The Talent Mine is hiring for a Technical Support Specialist II for an eco-policy law firm in the Boise, ID area. This is a hybrid, weekly onsite/remote combo role where a regular presence is needed (however days are flexible - say 2-3x/week in office as needed) to build trusted relationships with the variety of users you support. If you are the kind of IT Support Specialist that enjoys building trusted user relationships, tackling a variety of IT issues and being the "go to" person for tech, read on!

A day in the life will include:
  • Responding and providing timely resolution to requests for technology setups and escalated incidents, in accordance with internal SLA's
  • Provide training, troubleshooting, and other support related to the setup and use of the firm’s information technology
  • Authoring and editing knowledgebase articles to support the exchange of IT knowledge at the firm
  • Maintaining the inventory and checkout status
  • Owning the setup and support of conference room audio/video technology (includes audio, video, and web conferencing technologies)
  • Providing after-hours, emergency support when necessary

Your profile should include most of the following:
  • 3+ years of IT Support expertise, ideally at the Tier II level in most areas
  • A mix of expertise in Windows OS, Microsoft Office Suite, iOS and Android devices, in both hardware devices (PCs/laptops/mobile) and application software support
  • Foundational knowledge of wireless networking for devices
  • Ability to work independently and cooperatively as a member of a team
  • Take pride in providing exceptional customer service via in person and remote support using incident management tools for logging/escalating issues when appropriate
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds and make phone calls
  • A passion for making a team better with your positive attitude and attention to detail, while having fun doing it
