OverviewGovCIO is seeking an experienced Program Coordinator to support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Office of Information and Technology (OIT) Product Delivery Service (PDS) front office HR administration activities. The role will interface with multiple internal and external stakeholders and requires a proactive individual with strong organizational and communication skills. The environment is dynamic and client needs are often evolving; forward-flexibility and forward-thinking views are important for success. The ideal candidate will have experience operating effectively on programmatic and strategic efforts, familiarity with HR administration and onboarding best practices, and have a strong customer service orientation, high-energy, and a high level of professionalism. This position is fully remote and available to candidates within the Continental United States (CONUS).Responsibilities

Collaborate and coordinate with cross-functional teams consisting of VA Personnel leadership, stakeholders, technical teams, and administrative staff to meet program requirements.

Assist VA Personnel leadership with identifying opportunities for HR-focused process improvements, such as updates to SharePoint, process documentation, manuals, quick reference guides, etc.

Provide senior executive support ranging from planning, scheduling, coordination, logistics, analysis, tracking/managing action items, conducting follow-up, and reporting.

Propose new solutions to problems, often thinking outside of the box to come up with creative solutions.

Support the development of various artifacts aimed at improving VA HR processes and procedures including onboarding and offboarding checklists for new/departing employees, new employee orientation presentations, Personnel Org Chart(s), etc.

Set up and maintain email distribution groups/lists.

Draft and update formal job descriptions.

Assist with onboarding new VA employees (and contractors as needed), to include gathering, processing, and maintaining new hire onboarding paperwork, training certificates, etc.

Support special assignments as assigned.

QualificationsRequired Skills and Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Resource Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, or related fields.

Years of Experience Required: 5 Years.

8 to 10 additional years of experience may be substituted for Bachelor’s Degree).

Effective written and oral communication skills and understanding of how to interact with multiple GS levels within the federal government (e.g. GS 13s and above).

Experience managing and coordinating tasks to ensure the end project deliverable(s) are met on time.

Experience working effectively in remote environments.

Ability to work independently and productively and be a strong contributor with little to minor guidance.

Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

Experience supporting the VA.

Experience performing HR administration duties.

Exposure to Federal HR administration processes.
