208 Home Care is looking for a compassionate, reliable caregiver to assist an adult client with personal care services.
Pay Rate: $16.00 per hour
Schedule: 4:30pm-7:30pm Monday through Friday, hours can be adjusted to accommodate the care provider’s availability
Location: Nampa off S Grays Ln between E Victory Rd and Amity Ave
About the Client:
The client is wheelchair-bound following complications from hip surgery. He receives Meals on Wheels but would like support preparing a home-cooked dinner each evening. He is also seeking assistance with light housekeeping and occasional grocery shopping.
The client requires stand-by assistance (SBA) during bathing and needs someone nearby while he showers to ensure safety in case of a fall. He manages his own catheter bag but would appreciate help with it when needed.
Additional Information:
The client smokes inside his home. An ideal care provider is someone who is comfortable in a smoking environment (smokers welcome). He uses oxygen in the home and removes his cannula and turns off the oxygen before smoking.
Responsibilities Include:
-Meal preparation
-SBA for bathing
-Light housekeeping and laundry
-Provide companionship
-Grocery shopping (1x/week)
Ideal Candidate:
Able to pass a background check through the Idaho Department of Health & Welfare
Able to pass a urine drug test (Prescribed medication is acceptable)
Must complete Direct Care Professional (DCP) Training or have equivalent training certificate (exempt w/ CNA/LPN/RN License)
Must have a valid form of government-issued Identification and proof of Employment Authorization to work in the United States.
Able to follow HIPAA guidelines, document accurately, and communicate effectively with your client and with the office
Previous caregiving experience with mobility support and wheelchair transfers strongly preferred
