208 Home Care is looking for a female caregiver to assist a client in her home. Client is in her mid-50s and is paralyzed on her left side. She does use a wheelchair and requires hands-on assistance for all tasks, but is able to help using her right side. Caregiver will be trained on how to assist with transfers. She is very nice and has a great sense of humor. She enjoys authentic Mexican food and Disney movies. Client has a lot of family support, so the schedule is flexible but the existing family/care providers just need someone to help with respite care.
Schedule:
-Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays
-Option either 6am-2pm/4pm or 8am-4pm/6pm for 20-30 hours a week
Tasks:
-Eating
-Dressing
-Personal Hygiene
-Toileting (pivot transfer assistance)
-Medication reminders
-Laundry
-Light Housekeeping
Skills/Requirements
Must have a desire to help elderly and disabled individuals, previous caregiving experience is ideal but not required.
Must be able to pass a background check through the Idaho Department of Health & Welfare
Must be able to pass a urine drug test (Prescribed medication is acceptable)
Must complete the training required by Medicaid within 30 days of your hire date (exempt with active CNA/LPN/RN License)
Must have a valid form of government-issued Identification and proof of Employment Authorization to work in the United States.
Must be able to follow HIPAA guidelines, document accurately, and communicate effectively with your clients and with the office
