Job Summary:
Full time position for a Haz-Tech, Geotechnical Driller Assistant (Driller Helper). This Job requires out of state travel regularly, out of state jobs are done in 10 day runs with a 4 day break in between,
Driller Helpers assist the driller with sampling, loading/unloading tools and equipment, support truck and drill rig maintenance. Driller and Driller Helper are a team and need to be able to work well together to complete each job.
Job requirements
- At least 21 years of age.
- Must have a valid Driver's License.
- Have a valid Class A CDL, including tanker, or the ability to get one within a few weeks!
- Be able to travel across state lines regularly.
- Have the ability to bend, twist, and lift at least 75 LBS regularly.
- Ability to work unsupervised in a fast-paced environment.
- Have common sense.
- Must be able and willing to do some paperwork.
- Must be willing to listen and learn from advice given.
- Be able to communicate well.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Be able and willing to work weekends.
- Must be able to work as part of a team.
- Must be able to work in varying outdoor climates.
- Must be able to occasionally work extended shifts of 12 or more hours.
- Must be able to work with a flexible schedule, including some weekends.
- Pre-employment drug screening and background check.
Drilling does not always allow for defined scheduled breaks and each job is different.
Preferred Qualifications: 40hr. HAZPOWER, 10hr OSHA Construction, MSHA Training.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Wages are dependent on experience.
- Overtime after 40 hours in a week (OFTEN)
