Job description:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering automotive parts to our customers in a timely and efficient manner. The Parts Delivery Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring our customers receive the right parts at the right time, contributing to overall customer satisfaction.
Vehicle Operation:
Operate and maintain a company-provided delivery vehicle in a safe and responsible manner.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
Must have and maintain a good driving record.
Delivery of Parts:
Pick up and deliver automotive parts to customers' locations promptly.
Verify the accuracy of parts against delivery orders and invoices.
Provide excellent customer service by being courteous and professional during interactions with customers.
Accept customer returns with the proper documentation and put the returns in the correct location.
Accept customer core returns and inform the warehouse manager or counterman that the core has been received.
Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
Ensure the security and proper handling of delivered parts.
Warehouse Maintenance:
When there are no deliveries, you are responsible for sweeping and cleaning the warehouse.
Inventory bin counts
Check with the warehouse and assistant manager for any extra tasks that need to be completed.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Comfortable spending extended periods driving and making deliveries.
Policies and procedures:
Employees must park in the designated employee parking.
You must clock out for your lunch. Minimum 30 mins, maximum 1 hour.
This is a standard 40 hours a week, no overtime is available.
The current shift is from 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday-Friday, any changes to the shift must be approved by the assistant parts manager or parts manager.
