For candidates interested in licensing opportunity; we will offer the option to study and train as a professional applicator. Hourly pay will increase once applicators licenses are obtained.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The nature of the work will require the employee to be in the field for long periods of time under various weather conditions. The work will require moving, transporting, and using pesticides.
GENERAL DUTIES: MOSQUITO ABATEMENT CREWS
Performs mosquito surveillance, larviding and adulticiding activities using biological, cultural or chemical methods of control.
- Identifies targeted pests
- Completes work orders by mixing, applying and recording pesticide applications in accordance with work orders and applicable laws
- Reads and navigates by paper and digital maps
- Deal tactfully with the public and communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
- Must be able to lift 35-50 lbs. regularly.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Must possess and maintain a valid Idaho driver's license with a good driving record to operate vehicles and equipment.
