Aerospace Electrical/Avionics EngineerWe are currently looking to bring on a contract aerospace electrical / avionics engineer for a year contract for an R&D project. We can accept candidate without a degree based on their experience level.Job Description- This aircraft company located in Sandpoint, Idaho (near Spokane, WA) is seeking an Aerospace Electrical/Avionics Engineer for a possible year or longer contract position.Summary:Design engineers design the parts, assemblies, and systems installations which ultimately become company products. Core competency for this position is electrical engineering. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):Design, develop and integrate products, tools and or systemsPerform testing and analysis to validate designsPrepare specifications, and assist with the development of processesPerform research, and prepare documentation, reports, procedures and testsCollect and correlate data, recognizing discrepancies in resultsPerform project execution from conception to completionSupport portions of projects being performed by co-workersCreate and update electrical drawingsPerform electrical load analysisAddress parts obsolescence and upgradesRequirementsQualifications:Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from an accredited university preferred, not requiredMS Office Suite proficiency requiredCAD proficiency required, NX experience preferredExcellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skillsMust be able to work in small teams and independentlyKnowledge and experience with aircraft design and avionics systemsKnowledge and experience of real time control systems and distributed embedded systemGeneral understanding, knowledge and experience of how systems interact in a small aircraftDemonstrated ability to learn new technical areas and skills to support multiple projectsAbility to consistently demonstrate respect and support of our company vision, mission and valuesVolt is an Equal Opportunity Employer
