Asana Climbing has a full-time job opening for our Cutting and Material Management position. We are a climbing padding manufacturing company with a fantastic team. We have a 10,000 square foot facility located inside the same building as the Asana Climbing Gym and a free climbing gym membership is included with the position.
The following tasks are the primary responsibilities of the Cutting and Materials Manager, a full-time position, and are not all inclusive.
CUTTING AND MATERIALS MANAGEMENT
Operate and maintain cutting machines, tools, attachments, and related parts, including a CNC fabric cutter. We are willing to train a qualified person in using these tools and machinery.
Prepares work to be accomplished by gathering and sorting materials
Read and understand different forms and functions of measuring equipment (i.e. square, yard stick, tape measure etc.)
Trace patterns for specific cutting
Use cutting jigs, patterns and technical packets
Prepares machines, adjusts machines performance on material by observing machine operation; detecting malfunctions; adjusting settings
Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements
Make machine adjustments to compensate for errors or quality issues
Meet or exceed consistent daily and weekly output and quality goals
Must follow all machine safety rules
Maintain cleanliness and good housekeeping in cutting area
Perform tasks and duties as required for warehouse cleanliness, infrastructure builds or reorganization
Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested
REQUIREMENTS
Must be at least 18 years old to work with Industrial Cutting Machines & Equipment
Able to stand and/or sit throughout shift
Good physical (hand/eye) coordination
Must be punctual for shifts, breaks, and lunch times
The wearing of closed toe footwear is mandatory
Able to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis

COMPANY WORK HOURS: Monday – Friday, 7:30am – 4:00pm
