Estimator & Project Manager

Responsibilities:

Preparation & Estimating, Commercial Bids specifically Concrete

Review and analyze project plans (Commercial & Residential), specifications, and site conditions to prepare accurate cost estimates.

Calculate material volumes (e.g., soil, mulch, rock, sod) and labor requirements for each project.

Select appropriate plant species, tree types, and materials based on project specifications and client needs.

Obtain quotes from vendors and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing.

Prepare and submit professional, well-documented bid proposals.

Client & Sales Engagement

Collaborate with clients to understand project goals, budgets, and timelines.

Present and explain estimates to clients in a clear and professional manner.

Identify upsell opportunities and recommend value-added solutions to clients.

Project Coordination & Handoff

Work closely with the Site Supervisors, Foreman's, and Office Administrator to ensure a seamless transition from bid to execution.

Provide detailed documentation and support for project handoff meetings.

Market & Industry Knowledge

Stay current with industry trends, plant varieties, materials, and pricing.

Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure access to competitive pricing and high-quality materials.

Qualifications

Experience: 5+ years of experience in Concrete, Landscape construction, estimating, or a related field.

Industry Knowledge: Strong knowledge of Concrete, Hardscapes, Landscaping, Grading, Irrigation, and Drainage.

Technical Skills: Proficiency with estimating software, spreadsheets, and project management tools.

Sales Experience: Background in sales or client-facing roles preferred; strong communication and negotiation skills.

Math & Analytical Skills: Ability to calculate material volumes, costs, and labor accurately.

Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to preparing estimates and reviewing bid documents.

Education: Degree in construction management, landscape architecture, horticulture, or related field preferred but not required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 60,000 Per year plus Bonuses (lot's of room for increase pay, based of sales performance)
