We are seeking a sales-oriented candidate who is comfortable on the phone and in-person talking with prior clients and new prospects about insurance. Candidate must be able to learn our quoting systems and quickly and accurately prepare insurance quotes for personal lines of insurance like auto, home, and recreational vehicles. Must be insurance licensed or be willing to obtain proper licensing within 30 days of hire.
Duties
- Make outbound phone calls to prior clients or new prospects to offer an insurance quote
- Email prepared quotes to prospects
- Follow up with quoted individuals to determine interest and be able to take payments and bind coverage on new policies
- Manage existing client accounts to ensure customer satisfaction and retention
- Engage in cold calling, email outreach, and networking events to generate new leads and prospects
- Negotiate contracts and close sales deals through effective negotiation techniques
- Cross-sell additional lines of insurance to existing clients households to maximize revenue opportunities
- Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, sales progress
Skills
- Proven experience in outside sales or B2B sales
- Strong business development skills with the ability to generate leads through cold calling and networking
- Expertise in CRM software such as Salesforce or similar platforms for managing customer relationships and sales pipelines
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and customer service skills to build long-term client relationships
- Ability to deliver prepared quote presentations that address client needs effectively
- Experience in retail sales or inside sales is a plus but not required
- Demonstrated ability to upsell or cross-sell products/services while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction
- Must have property & casualty insurance licenses in Idaho or be willing to obtain within 30 days of hire
