Position: Finish Department (Prep and Finish)
Do you have experience in wood working finish? Are you capable of using basic tools and finishing equipment? We, a Boise-based custom cabinet shop, are hiring a Cabinet Finish/Prep team member here in Boise, ID.
Description: This candidate will work primarily in the cabinet finish area. In this position, you will learn how to prepare and finish cabinet panels, trim, doors, and drawer fronts. We may also provide cross-training in other functional areas.
Candidates would primarily perform the following:
Job Duties:
Orbital sanding.
Hand (Sponge / Block) Sanding.
Masking / Taping for Finish room prep.
Putty / Bondo for finish room.
Drilling doors for knobs / handles.
Hand Staining.
Joining Panels together.
Train to operate a Finish sanding machine.
Train to operate Makor inline Finish spray machine.
Train to operate UV fast cure.
Skill Preference:
Attention to detail
Ability to read plans
Ability to read a tape measure
An understanding of dimensional lumber
Satisfactory attendance
An understanding of finishing projects in a timely manner
