We are seeking an experienced Estimator or Material Take Off Specialist with a strong background in construction cost estimating and proficiency in Bluebeam software. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for a variety of commercial and residential construction projects.
This role requires excellent analytical skills, a deep understanding of construction methodology, and the ability to collaborate with project managers, clients, and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities
Review and analyze project drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
Use Bluebeam Revu for takeoffs, markup, and estimating workflows.
Develop detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and other project expenses.
Prepare bid proposals and present cost breakdowns to management and clients.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend value-engineering alternatives.
Collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing.
Track and manage changes in project scope to ensure updated cost estimates.
Maintain historical cost databases for future reference.
Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and post-bid reviews.
Ensure compliance with company procedures, industry standards, and local codes.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a construction estimator, preferably in commercial or residential construction.
Proficiency in Bluebeam Revu for estimating and takeoff processes.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
Exceptional analytical and mathematical skills.
Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
