Thorpe Fire Sprinkler Systems, Inc. is a design/build licensed Fire Protection Contractor in the State of Idaho. Our mission is to provide life saving and cost effective fire sprinkler systems that meet or exceed the requirements of NFPA and the local authority having jurisdiction. With our in-house design staff we offer pre-designed fire sprinkler systems utilizing BricsCAD and HydraCalc Hydraulics, all with NICET Level III supervision. We have three NICET Level III certified technicians and one NICET Level II certified technician on staff, and over 75 years of combined experience in the industry amongst our management team. We are seeking a Fire Sprinkler Designer/Design Department Manager to join our team. This position is for a primarily commercial designer that would handle our ground up and tenant improvement designs, but would also require experience in design in both residential and commercial applications with a solid understanding of applicable code standards, as well as the ability to oversee other designers, review plans for accuracy prior to submitting for permit, train designers, balance schedule and design priority, and manage the design department as a whole.
Years of experience required is variable. We will be assessing an applicant's overall experience and skill in fire sprinkler system design and code knowledge, as well as any experience in managing others. We are willing to train the right person on the management aspect of the position if there is no experience in that area.
