Whit's Auto Repair, Inc. is a family owned and operated business.
We've been around for about 30 years, located in downtown Nampa, Idaho. We are situated in a very old brick building, that has been an auto shop/dealership since the mid 1900s. Our shop is fortunately quite large and each of our techs have their own space with 2-3 lifts. But we have a total of 10 lifts, plus an alignment rack and 2 flat bays.
We tend to be very flexible and understanding and pride ourselves in taking care of our staff. We understand stuff comes up and mistakes happen and we want to work together to complete one common goal.
Our goal here is to establish trust with our customers and build a relationship, so we can keep them around long term. We strive to be thorough to keep their vehicle on the road but never upsell anything, so they're not spending money that is not necessary.
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Automotive Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate should have expertise in automotive diagnostics, repair, and maintenance, with strong motivation to stay focused, take initiative and go above and beyond to achieve their tasks or goals.
Responsibilities:
-Test drive vehicles and run diagnostics using appropriate equipment, tools and resources
- Perform automotive repairs and any maintenance tasks efficiently and accurately
- Work on all vehicles, age, makes and models
- Provide excellent and direct communication with service writer, so customer can be appropriately informed
-Complete digital inspections, if needed, as well as any paperwork necessary
Skills:
- Proficient in automotive diagnostics and repair, including but not limited too, engine, transmission, electrical, steering, brakes, suspension, heating and A/C, fluid changes and general maintenance
- Positive, friendly, reliable, strong work ethic, willing to learn, proficient time management, punctuality and a team player
Requirements:
-Experience is a must, certifications are a plus
-Must have own tools
-Must have valid driver's license

Expected hours: 40 per week
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
