We are looking for a well-rounded metal fabricator with experience managing others. This position consists of splitting your time between the fabrication of custom metal parts and assemblies and managing others to meet timelines and quality standards. We are a custom shop that takes on a wide variety of projects so applicants must have a deeper working knowledge of materials, processes, and order of operations as well as an understanding of safe machine operations and capacities. On a typical day, applicants will be interpreting customer drawings, formulating the order of operations including which material and machinery would be best to use for each project, setting a reasonable time frame for completion, and then determining whether to delegate all or portions of the project to the fabricators they oversee.
Skills:
Ability to properly read and interpret drawings and measurements
Ability to identify different metal types and grades
Excellent time management
Knowledge of and experience with press brakes
Experience with CNC plasma cutting equipment
Experience using shears, rolls and other shop equipment
Must have the ability to weld steel, stainless steel and aluminum (GTAW, GMAW, and SMAW)
Practice safe material handling (including forklift and overhead cranes)
Excellent communication skills
Compensation Based on Experience.
